First draft of pictures that I am using in my Storyboard

Mise-en-Scene

Costumes

Hugo
-his pyjamas that he is wearing in the first two picture shots
-the clothes that he gets changed into in the next shot when his is getting ready to go outside
-the coat that he puts on when he is going outside
-messy hair, because he hasnt been bothered to brush it.

Daisy
-smart work clothes, black jeans white shirt and a coat and all of her bags that she is holding.

Lighting

In the first shot when Hugo has just woken up, the lighting will be bright because the light is coming through the curtains.

In the shot where he is sat on the sofa late at night, there will be no lighting apart from the light that is coming from the television and the light from the other room, coming through the door frame.

Props

The props which I will need for my sequence that I am doing will be:
- an apple ( the one that Daisy drops on the floor)
- a photograph (when Hugo is looking at it in his bedroom)
- bags (the ones that Daisy is carrying, and she puts them on the bench where Hugo is sat)
-the sofa that Hugo is sat on when he is watching television
-the TV ( a wide screen)
-the bed that he is in when he wakes up
-the alarm clock that is on the bedside table which shows the time when he wakes up.

Screenplay

Location: In Hugo’s house, in his bed. INT

Hugo wakes up and its mid-day, it still hasn’t sunk in that his wife has just died. He still does not want to go outside and see the real world just yet; he is not in the mode to socialise.

CUT TO

Hugo sat in his living room at night, watching television.

CUT TO

The next morning Hugo getting changed out of his pyjamas into some different clothes so he can go outside

CUT TO

He is sat up in bed with a picture of Imogen in his hands

CUT TO

Putting the picture in his pocket

CUT TO

He has put his coat on and is opening the door to go outside

CUT TO

Walking into the park, with his head down

IN THEN PARK

CUT TO

He is sat on a bench, just looking straight out in front of him

CUT TO

A woman (Daisy) stood against the bench and her bags are placed on the bench next to Hugo

DAISY

“Is anyone sat here?” smiling

CUT TO

HUGO

“No!” saying this with his head down

CUT TO

Daisy awkwardly sat down on the end of the bench

CUT TO

Daisy getting out her lunch and dropping her apple

CUT TO

Hugo looking at the apple, and reaching over to get it for her

CUT TO

Them both going to pick up the apple

CUT TO

Hugo getting the apple and smiling and passing it back to Daisy

DAISY

“Thank you!” she is saying this whilst she is smiling

Hugo looking down at his feet and smiling

Daisy putting her hand out to for Hugo to shake it, greeting herself

Hugo looking at her hand, wondering whether or not he should shake it back
